Mr. Frymier is currently the head of BAML Global Strategic Capital (GSC), the primary strategic investment division of Bank of America Corporation and its subsidiaries. GSC also provides strategic advisory and M&A services to the bank’s business lines.
Mr. Frymier serves or has served as a member or advisor to the boards of many private companies including Archipelago, BondDesk (Chairman, Executive Committee), BATS, the Chicago Stock Exchange, EBS, Financial Oxygen, FXAll (Chairman), Incapital, LoanX, SecuritiesHub, Sterling Stamos Capital Management, TradingScreen, theMarkets.com and Value Asset Management.
Previously, Mr. Frymier was a founding member of Bank of America’s eCommerce group, which developed the original business plan for deploying Bank of America’s capital markets products over the internet. He began his career at Bank of America in 1994 as a trader in their primary dealership, serving as a market maker in U.S. Treasury Securities for the bank’s institutional client base and maintaining proprietary risk positions on behalf of the bank. During this period, he also served as eCommerce Director for the bank’s Treasury, Agency and Money Market businesses. Mr. Frymier joined the bank from Standard Chartered Ltd, where he served as a Vice President of Institutional fixed income sales, after starting his career in the training program at Putnam Investments in Boston.
Mr. Frymier earned a Bachelor’s degree from Colby College in Waterville, Maine and is an active competitive yacht racer. He currently resides in Tiburon, California with his wife Cathy and four children.
