Mr. Robert W. Long

Title: President and Chief Executive Officer

Bob Long is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Conversus Asset Management, the investment manager of Conversus Capital (NYSE/Euronext: CCAP).  With $2.4 billion in assets under management, Conversus is the largest publicly traded portfolio of third party private equity LP interests and offers investors immediate access to a well diversified, top-tier, mature portfolio of over 1,800 underlying companies.  Mr. Long is responsible for the overall strategic direction of Conversus and leads the Investment Committee and Board of Managers of Conversus Asset Management. A frequent commentator on private equity issues, Mr. Long has appeared on CNBC and Bloomberg TV and was named one of “50 Gamechangers” by Private Equity International.

Mr. Long led the formation of Conversus that culminated in its June 2007 IPO. Prior to founding Conversus, Mr. Long was the head of Banc of America Strategic Capital, a division of Bank of America (BAC) managing approximately $7 billion in private equity funds and direct investments. Mr. Long was involved in private equity throughout his 14-year career at Bank of America including as founder of the Strategic Investments Group and co-founder of BAC’s Real Estate Mezzanine Group. Mr. Long began his career at BAC in the legal department, where he was responsible for private equity, M & A advisory and various capital markets business. Prior to joining the bank, Mr. Long was a corporate and securities lawyer in private practice. Mr. Long earned his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a J.D. from the University of Virginia.
